Fossil fuel businesses and astroturf groups they’ve created, like New Yorkers for Affordable Energy, have flooded the state with fear-mongering mailers, TV spots, social media ads, robo-calls, and aggressive lobbying to try to hollow out the state’s acclaimed climate law.
THEY’RE GREENWASHING BUSINESS AS USUAL
Knowing it’s too late to outright deny climate change when it’s all around us, the industry aggressively pushes “low carbon fuels” like biogas, hydrogen, and so-called biomass. But all those pretty much continue business as usual.
JUST SO THEY CAN KEEP PRICE GOUGING US FOR ENERGY
